PURPOSE:To prevent erosion on a nozzle plate in a turbine nozzle by coating it with boride in its rear edge side. CONSTITUTION:A steam exit end 5c on the bottom side of a nozzle plate 5a enclosed by side walls 5b is coated with boride, and then treated by heat in the range of 600 deg.C-1,200 deg.C. This construction permits to form a layer harder than solid particles on the surface of the nozzle plate to prevent the lowering of the necessary rigidity even in the case of a long time use. |
