A panel for constructing internal or external walls comprises a framework (6) secured to a core (5) of insulating material by horizontal members (8) which reinforce the rigidity of the core. The horizontal members are secured by e.g. bolts (13) to vertical members (9) positioned on the opposite side of the core. On assembly these interconnect the cores of adjacent panels to form a continuous surface. The panels may be used to construct industrial or agricultural buildings or underground structures e.g. swimming pools etc.
