PURPOSE:To improve the cleanability, filming resistance and scratch resistance, by adding an inorg. abrasive material to the carrier transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:An inorg. abrasive material with high hardness, high insulating power and a small grain size is added as a lubricant to the carrier transferring layer of an electrophotographic receptor having a carrier generating layer and the carrier transferring layer. SiC (carborundum), Al2O3 (alumina or low soda alumina), SiO2 or B4C is especially suitable for use as the abrasive material. The abrasive material is pretreated by ion exchange to remove various ions as impurities, or it is treated beforehand with a silane coupling agent or an org. titanium compound to improve the adhesive strength to the insulating resin. The abrasive material is dispersed and mixed by 0.05-20pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. resin. |
