PURPOSE:To detect maximum tolerance exactly even if a signal to be received, which is contained in an input signal is varied, by always updating a reference signal used for a maximum tolerance detector, in accordance with the newest signal obtained from the input signal. CONSTITUTION:An input signal 1 is discriminated and reproduced by a trial discriminator 203, the newest N bit is stored in the first storage element grounp 204, and also to the second storage element group 205, the newest M bit of an output signal of a maximum tolerance detector 201 is stored in order. An output signal 17 of a delaying circuit 206 is sampled by one sampling circuit corresponding to a position of one point of a 2N<+>M-dimensional signal space decided by outputs of the first and the second storage element groups 204, 205, and is connected to a corresponding smoothing circuit of a smoothing circuit group 208. An output from the smoothing circuit group 208 is stored in a signal storing circuit 202, as a reference value of signals of 2N<+>M-number. In this way, an output signal of this storing circuit 202 is varied in conformity with the input signal 1, and operates on the maximum tolerance detector 201. |
