PURPOSE:To enable to apply the system to the operation control of unattended car, by enabling to identify the obstacle present in front from the car in front through the detection of the presence of obstacle by operating the returning time of reflection wave and the distance between cars. CONSTITUTION:Opposing to the transmitter 21 and receiver 13 of the rear car 11, the transmitter 26 and receiver 24 and equipped with the front car 12, and the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the transmitter 21 of the rear car 11 is received at the receiver 24 of the front car 12, and ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitter 26 of the front car 12 and ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the rear car 11 again corresponding to the reception of it by the rear car 11. The period of transmission and reception of ultrasonic wave is measured, and the reflection wave of ultrasonic wave transmitted from the rear car 11 is received at the receiver 31 installed in the rear car 11 to measure the incoming time of reflection wave, and the obstacle present in front the rear car 11 can be detected based on this measurement and the distance between the cars. |
