<p>Solar collector comprises a plate absorber a bottom plate consisting of building blocks, and inner and outer light-transmitting covers all supported by an asymmetrical profiled clamping U-frame. The outer cover is inserted in an outer recess of the frame. The inner cover and bottom plate are mounted without prestressing in the frame by a key joint consisting of a space bar aligned with the upper surface of the inner cover, and wedges. The plate absorber is freely suspended in battens fixed by the key joints, by inserting the absorber in slots in the battens. The absorber forms separate cavities with the inner cover and bottom plate. The collector can be mass produced, and has sufficient strength for use as an integrated building element e.g. roof covering. The battens are pref. made of polymethacrylic foam.</p> |
