PURPOSE:To provide a rubber compsn. having improved processability and resistance to wet skid, wear and crack propagation and suitable for use in producing tire tread, consisting of three styrene/butadiene rubbers having different styrene contents and polybutadiene rubber. CONSTITUTION:A rubber component is obtd. from 30-90wt% styrene/butadiene rubber having a bonded styrene content of at least 30wt% and 70-10wt% at least two rubbers selected from a styrene/butadiene rubber having a bonded styrene content of 1-10wt%, a styrene/butadiene rubber having a bonded styrene content of 10-30wt% and polybutadiene rubber. The titled rubber compsn. is mainly composed of 100pts.wt. said rubber component and 40-100pts.wt. carbon black. Pref. the styrene/butadiene rubbers having a low styrene content and a normal styrene content are used in a quantity less than those of the styrene/ butadiene rubber having a high styrene content and polybutadiene rubber.
