PURPOSE:To perform safe mooring, by a method wherein the tension of a mooring link employing a one-point mooring buoy system is detected, and the tension is kept within a given range through control of a propulsion device of a floating structure, based on a tension signal therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A floating structure 5 is moored through a mooring link 7 to a constant-point buoy 1 which floats on the surface of the water for location. The mooring tension of the mooring link 7 is measured by a tension detecting means such as strain gauges. A tension signal therefrom is sent to a propulsion control part 12b to control a propulsion device 11 of the floating structure 5. If the tension of the mooring link exceeds a given value, the floating structure 5 is moved in a direction which offsets said tension, and this causes the tension to be kept within a given range. This enables to perform a safe mooring work.
