<p>For the cultivation of artificial epiphytes, particularly orchids, or the hybrid and/or intergeneric descendants, usually preferred epiphytes or their descendants are used. The preferred epiphytes (1) or their descendants are durably and biologically linked with the bark of a living base tree (2), being of the few years old and forming a liquefying bark (it may also come from another geographical region, such as the epiphytes); in case of need, at least the part of the base tree (2) used to create the biological link is preserved at least in two portions in an air conditioned room (8); the plant cultivated in this way is kept alive as a unit and is wholly or partly reused. The plant may be displaced at least temporarily. The epiphytes or descendants thereof are taken to the place of destination according to known transport means. The invention provides to use for the transport the epiphytes or descendants thereof which are durably and biologically bound with the bark of a living base tree; said connection may be produced before the transport and the plants thus obtained may be transported.</p> |
