In a water-butt provided with a lid, the lid (4) has an outward curvature (5) and a passage hole (8) is provided in the base thereof. The lid (4) also has a supporting beading (9), a peripheral web (10) and a centring shoulder (11), these giving an edge contour by means of which it can be set on the edge (3) of the butt on both sides. In one of its resting positions, the lid acts as a funnel which largely seals the butt, while in its other resting position the rain water is guided away. Such a water-butt is integrally blow-moulded with the lid (4), the two being connected via a separation zone (13). The lid (4) is then later separated from the rest of the water-butt along the separation zone. <IMAGE>
