摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain pictures of high quality through a simple constitution by forming the luminance signal components of two continuous horizontal scan output signals into an array having a specific difference of phase and therefore reducing moires of a color reproduced picture and then turning a solid state image pickup element into multiple picture elements. CONSTITUTION:An optical image supplied through an image pickup lens 27 of a solid state color image pickup device is formed to a solid state image pickup element 29 through a color filter 28. The space modulation is applied to the filter 28 through a pulse generating circuit 40 and a drive circuit 39, and the optical signal which is space-modulated by the element 29 is converted into electric signals and delivered. This electric signal is amplified 30 and divided into two signals, and both signals are applied to an adder 31 and a subtractor 35 respectively. The output of the adder 31 is applied to LPF32 and 33, and the output of the LPF32 is applied to a subtractor 34. Then the output of the subtractor 35 is applied to a synchronizing wave detector 37 via a BPF36. The color signals R and B supplied from the detector 37 are applied to a color encoder 38 as well as to the subtractor 34. Then the color signal G given from the subtractor 34 and the luminance signal Y sent from the LPF32 are applied to the encoder 38.
