PURPOSE:To receive particles in a state separated into many kinds by one separating operation, by applying plane deflection to liquid droplets containing particles to fall the same by imparting a large number of selection signals to said liquid droplets. CONSTITUTION:A charge circuit 7 is operated to charge liquid droplets with a definite amount of neative charge when a jet stream 20 is formed into liquid droplets and the particle in each liquid droplet is measured by a light detector 17. The measured value is compared with the reference value preset by a particle judge circuit 19 and, when it exceeds the corresponding reference value, deflection voltage corresponding to the particle selection signal issued by the above mentioned circuit 19 is applied forward and back, and left and right electrode plates 13a-13d and one liquid droplet 5 is attracted to the anode side of two pairs of uppermost electrode pieces 13a-13d. Said deflection voltage is applied to the electrode plate groups 13, 13... so as to be successively delayed downwardly at the same speed as the falling speed of liquid droplets by delay elements 18, 18... and moves as an advance wave to allow the liquid droplets 5 to fall in the prescribed compartment of a separately receiving container 21 to receive the same in parts.
