PURPOSE:To produce a high-quality molding in good releasability by using a small amount of a releasing agent, by applying a finely powdered releasing agent to the surface of an aromatic polysulfone resin and molding this resin. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of pellets or powder of an aromatic polysulfone resin are coated with about 200-1,000ppm of a powdered releasing agent, and this resin is molded. As the above releasing agent, a metallic soap releasing agent (e.g., 10-30C fatty acid magnesium salt) and/or a fatty acid amide releasing agent (e.g., 10-30C fatty acid amide) are used. According to the above process, it is possible to produce a molding of excellent quality in good releasability without detriment to mechanical strength, thermal performances, appearance, etc., by using even an extremely small amount of a releasing agent, unlike a conventional process wherein an aromatic polysulfone resin containing a releasing agent is molded.
