PURPOSE:To enhance hardness and anti-wear property, by constituting the titled slidable material from a material of predetermined ratio of Mo, Cr, Cu, P, C and Fe so as to contain carbide based on Mo2C and Cr7C3 therein in a dispersed state. CONSTITUTION:An anti-wear sintered slide material consists of, on a wt. basis, 10-30% Mo, 1-15% Cr, 0.5-5% Cu, 0.2-0.7% P, 1.5-3.5% C and the remainder of Fe and has carbide based on Mo2C and Cr7C3 uniformly dispersed in the matrix thereof. The aforementioned carbide based on Mo2C has an average particle size of 2-35mum and an areal ratio of 10-40%. The above mentioned slide member is extremely small in aggressivity to an opposed object and has high strength and anti-wear property.
