PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in picture quality of a separate video signal by providing an equalizer circuit having the same characteristics as an equalizer provided to a signal line used for a composite video signal, to a signal line used for a separate video signal. CONSTITUTION:Separate video signals R, G, B are supplied through input terminals 31R-31B to attenuators 32R-32B, where the video signals are multiplied by respectively 0.3, 0.59, and 0.11 and are added to produce a luminance signal Y. This signal Y is supplied through an equalizer circuit 34 having the same characteristics as an equalizer circuit 13 to an amplifier 35 to create the same level as the luminance signal contained in a composite signal CMP. Signals R and B through attenuators 41R and 41B are added to subtracting circuits 42R and 42B, where they are subtracted with the luminance signal Y to obtain color difference signals R-Y and B-Y. These luminance signal and color difference signal are fed to A/D converters 36, 45R and 45B to produce digital signals, and sequentially supplied to the post circuits.
