NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I and II (R is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl). EXAMPLE:1-Methyl-2-(4-hydroxy-1,2-dithiolan-3-yl)pyrolidine (guinesine A or B). USE:An insecticide. PREPARATION:Guinesine A or B is obtained by extracting a plant, e.g. Cassipoured guianesis of the family Rhizophoraceae containing the same, and purifying the extract. The O-carbamate derivative thereof is obtained by reacting the guinesine A or B with an isocyanate, e.g. methyl isocyanate. |
