NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [A is halogen; B is H or halogen; X and Y are O or S; R is <=20C (substituted) aralkyl or pyridylalkyl or (substituted 3-20C alkyl]. EXAMPLE:N-2,6-difluorobenzoyl-N'-alpha-methylbenzylurea. USE:Insecticidal and ovicidal agent. Effective to hygienic vermin, animal and vegetable parasite, forestry vermin, etc. It has high safety and exhibits excellent effect at a low rate of application. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula II with the compound of formula H2N-R in a solvent such as toluene, at 0-120 deg.C, preferably 50-120 deg.C for 20min-5hr. The amount of the compound of formula II is 1-1.2mol per 1mol of the compound of formula H2N-R.
