PURPOSE:To obtain easily the titled hydrate crystal useful as a hypotensor or an inhibitor against secretion of digestive juice, by crystallizing di-(thienyl).(N- methyl-methoxy-piperidylidene)methanemethobromide in water and a specific mixed organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:Di-( 2-thienyl ).( N-methyl-5-methoxy-3-piperidylidene )methanemethobromide is crystallized in a combination of (A) water and (B) (i) an alcohol, (ii) acetonitrile, or (iii) an amide, or an organic solvent (preferably acetone, THF, etc.) containing it, preferably at 30-80 deg.C, to give the aimed monohydrate crystal. An amount of the solvent B used is preferably at least 8wt% based on water, and the concentration of the compound is properly 10-50wt%. |
