PURPOSE:To improve the corrosionproofness and abrasion-resistance of the constitution parts of a screw compressor by forming an aluminium alloy layer onto each surface of a rotor and a casing made of steel or casted iron. CONSTITUTION:The rotor and the casing of a screw compressor are made of steel or casted iron A, and an aluminium alloy, namely an Fe-Al alloy layer B is formed onto the surface in contact with working fluid. Said alloy layer is formed by immersing a material into the molten aluminium bath at 700 deg. or so for a certain time and generating the mutual diffusion action between aluminium and the steel surface. Therefore, the rotor and casing can be easily worked because of the use of steel or casted iron, and abrasion resistance and corrosionproofness can be improved markedly. |
