PURPOSE:To execute bias illumination without changing the length of aberration correction glass with respect to a photographing lens of a color separating optical system by illuminating bias light to image pickup devices by means of wedge-shaped prisms. CONSTITUTION:A light reflecting face 8 is formed to part of the 1st prism 2 facing the photographing lens of the prism type color separating optical system constituted of four pieces of prism blocks 2, 3, 4, 5 to be used by being disposed between the photographing lens and plural image pickup devices. The bias light introduced to the 1st prism 2 by the deflecting prism 7 at the circumferential edge of the prism 2 is conducted to the opposite edge while said light is reflected in the prism 2 and is irradiated to the image pickup devices by the above-mentioned light reflecting face 8.
