HONEYCOMB SHAPED PARTICULATE COLLECTION FILTER, HONEYCOMB SHAPED CATALYST FILTER AND PREPARATION THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a filter exellent in collection efficiency and combustion propagation characteristic, by forming an alumina coating layer to the surface of the side wall of each cell not closed by a blind plug in the gas inlet side of a honeycomb shaped filter. CONSTITUTION:The cells 2 of a ceramic monolithic carrier 1 are closed every other one by blind plugs 3 and cells 2a not closed in the inlet side by the blind plugs 3 are closed by said blind plugs 3 in the outlet side while cells 2b closed by the blind plugs 3 are opened in the inlet side and an activated alumina coating layer 5 is formed to the side wall of each cell 2a not closed by the blind plug 3 in the inlet side. A catalytic metal of a platinum group elements is further applied to the alumina coating layer and a filter increased in the collection efficiency of a particulate and excellent in combustion propagation characteristic can be obtained.
