PURPOSE:To take the displaying part space occupying the anode substrate of a display tube as largely as possible to reduce dead space except the displaying part and realize high reliability of display tube by mounting both a driving circuit part and a displaying part in the same vacuum container. CONSTITUTION:An upper plate (cover glass) 10 and a lower plate 20 are sealed to form a vacuum enclosing container. In the vacuum enclosing container, a glass substrate 13 with a displaying part 12 and a glass substrate 14 with a driving circuit part 5 are mounted in a layered shape. A displaying part 12 equipped with both a grid electrode and a filament negative electrode is formed on the substrate 13, and the driving ICs are mounted in pair-chip structure on the substrate 14. Dead space in the displaying port can be largely reduced, and high reliability can be maintained even in the pair-chip condition. |
