PURPOSE:To prevent a whitening, a discoloring, a decoloring, of the titled plate, and a peeling between the polarizing plate and a protective film by applying a protective film formed from a polymer blend which incorporates a specific polyurethane to an AC (acrylic resin). CONSTITUTION:In the polarizing plate adhering the protective film of the AC film to at least one side of the polarizing plate, the protective film is formed from the polymer blend comprising AC and a polyester type or a lactone type polyurethane having <=50 a hydroxyl value and <=5,000mol.wt. If a polyether or a polycarbonate type polyurethane resin is used instead of said polyurethane resin, the compatibility of said resin and AC decreases, thereby generating a cloudiness in the polymer blend and reducing a transparency of the film. If the polyurethane resin having the values exceeding said hydroxy value or said mol.wt. is used the film obtd. from the polymer blend contg. said resin becomes hard, and does not give a smooth surface. Therefore, the obtd. film is not suitable for a protective film of the polarizing film.
