The method involves supplying a gasket (1) to an application head by a guide roller (8) during circular movement of an intermediate storage roller (10). The gasket is rolled up or attached to a surface of a car body, a vehicle part or retaining strips (23) that is provided at an application plate (7) by a pressure roller (9) or a pressing device. The storage roller and the rollers arranged on circumference of the storage roller are moved relative to the head during rotatably attaching the gasket, where the gasket is wound or unwound based on requirements. An independent claim is also included for a device for rotatably attaching a gasket at a car body, a car part or at an application plate for mounting at a door of a motor car, comprising a robotic arm.
