PURPOSE:To obtain oxygen-enriched air having always a specified O2 concentration stably, conveniently and inexpensively, eliminating useless loss. CONSTITUTION:A group of membrane element 1 provided with permselective membranes comprising poly 4-methylpentene-1, etc., on both or one side of a supporting plate and an inlet 2 of the O2-enriched air is divided into two blocks having different proportion of effective area, i.e. a first block 3 having 60-80% and a second block 4 having 40-20%, of effective area of the whole effective area. O2-enriched air is taken out of each block through collecting pipes 5, 6 while adjusting the flow rate with a valve 7. Thus, an O2 enriching apparatus is constructed. Atmospheric air 8 is introduced into the apparatus as expressed by an arrow mark C by means of a fan 18 through a filter, fed to membrane element blocks 3, 4 through a cooler 12 while adjusting the amt. of air, if necessary, by controlling the valve 7. O2-enriched air is taken out as A through collecting pipes 5, 6, vacuum pump 10, water separator 13, etc. Residual gas is discharged as D, on one hand.
