PURPOSE:To solely attain real time processing by hardware by storing digitized variable density data in the memory, incrementing the address contents by 1 and again writing it in the same memory address. CONSTITUTION:Digitized video signals from the camera are stored in a register. The address contents corresponding to the data appellation are incremented by one by an adder. The data are latched and again written in the same memory address. By constituting the circuit in this manner by hardware, a histogram indicating the variable density of the video signal is produced in the memory at the same time that the transfer of each time of the variable density data from the camera signals is terminated. In such a manner, the histogram indicative of the variable density may be produced on the real time basis.
