PURPOSE:To prevent oozing of polymer from the surface of spinneret and to make cleaning in a short time possible, by reversing a polymer extrusion pump from a time before cleaning of the surface of the spinneret to cleaning operation. CONSTITUTION:In cleaning the surface of the spinneret 10, a pump to send a polymer to the spinneret 10 under pressure is continuously or intermittently reversed from a time before cleaning to at least a time during cleaning. Preferably a cooling medium is sprayed upon the surface of the spinneret just before the cleaning and/or during the cleaning.
