PURPOSE:To obtain a pinch roller press-contact mechanism which can produce the satisfactory press-contact force with a small amount of power, by connecting a pinch roller support member and an energizing member via a toggle link, then connecting a drive member to a coupling pin of the toggle link. CONSTITUTION:When a cam gear 24 is turned clockwise, a pin 23 moves along a cam groove 24a. Then a cam lever 21 turns counterclockwise around a post 22. A coupling pin 17 is turned counterclockwise on the circumference of a circle centering on a pin 20 in response to the rotation of the lever 21. Then a pinch roller lever 13 is turned clockwise centering on a post 12, and a pinch roller 11 has a contact with a capstan 25. When a cam gear 24 is revolved clockwise, the pin 17 moves on the circumference of a circle centering on a pin 14 restricted by a link 15. While a link 16 moves while pushing a slide lever 18 upward against the force of a spring 16. The revolutions of the cam gear 24 are prevented when both links 15 and 16 are extended on a straight line.
