PURPOSE:To eliminate the disturbance of a separator when a recording medium is set to an inspecting part for a recording medium inspecting device which processes a naked recording medium, by using a sucking head to separate the separator from the recording medium and hold them. CONSTITUTION:For a sucking head part 10b for the floppy medium 3 of the sucking head 10, the separator 4 is fitted the rear end part of a sucking head part 10a via a pin 10a at the position of a feed pallet. The medium 3 is held at a place lower than the separator 4 by a prescribed distance. When an arm 7 moves down at an inspecting position, the bar 15 of the part 10a engages a stopper 14. Thus both the part 10a and the rear main body R of the part 10b have no descent any more. When the arm 7 moves down further, a shaft 10d is pushed down by a pawl 17 and a tip part F is separated from the main body R. Then the sucking port of the part F is opened and the medium 3 drops onto a spindle 5a. Then a collet 10c is put into the recess of the spindle 5a. Thus the part F and the medium 3 are revolved in response to the spindle 5a.
