PURPOSE:To smoothly perform the pumping-up of a highly viscous slurry, by constituting a return mechanism by providing a discharge part branched from the discharge part of a slurry pump and discharging a part of a pumped up slurry in a tower tank. CONSTITUTION:A slurry part 18 is formed by the catalyst 12 and liquid 16 received in a tower tank 10. When a current is supplied to the power source code 60 of a slurry pump 20 in this state to drive the pump 20, a slurry is pumped up from the suction port 62 of the pump 20 and a part thereof is transferred to a filter tank 30 through slurry transfer piping 24 while the remainder is discharged to the slurry part 18 in the tower tank 10 through flexible hoses 26, 26. In this case, the amount of the slurry transferred to the filter tank 30 and that of the slurry returned to the tower tank 10 are appropriately controlled corresponding to the kind of the catalyst 12 by the adjustment of the flow control valves 54, 58.
