PURPOSE:To obtain the more natural and easier-to-read printed characters by shifting contracted sounds slightly to the front side when a document including the contracted sounds is printed. CONSTITUTION:The conditions of connection between a contracted sound character and a character preceding by one unit are checked through a grammar dictionary 7. Then the function for digit shift is used only when said conditions are satisfied. For instance, it is decided by the dictionary 7 that (SHI+YO) of 'SHIYOWA' comply with the conditions. Then a digit shift is carried out. While it is decided that (MA+WA) of 'MAWARI' does not comply with the conditions through the check of the dictionary 7. Then no digit shift is carried out. The line direction of the dictionary 7 has correspondence with each contracted sound character and each head address is coincident with the pointer of a contracted sound dictionary 5 to the dictionary 7. While the column direction of the dictionary 7 has correspondence with one character and one bit after conversion of the code of the character preceding by one unit. |
