PURPOSE:To make a claw clutch surely work with small braking force, by installing a V-shaped inclined cam surface in a spindle. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 4 pierces the inside of a spindle and is projected out, while a cam face 5 having a V-shaped inclined surface 5b is formed in an outer end face of the spindle 1. A rotary spacer 6 is pivotally supported on the spindle 1 as immobile in the axial direction so as to be lightly braked in a direction of rotation. An engaging projection 17 is formed in this spacer 6, and an engager 32 is formed in a slide ring 25. For example, at the time of four-wheel driving, the slide ring 25 and a drive clutch 20 both rotate, and an inner end 32a of the engager butted to the engaging projection 17 whereby movement of the slide ring 25 is kept up, coupled with a driven clutch 21, transmitting the rotation to a wheel hub 3. Clutch interuption is controlled by the cam 5 and the engaging action is held by the rotary spacer 6, so that braking force can be made smaller.
