NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (A is protonic acid; n is 0 or a positive number). EXAMPLE:5-tert-Butyl-2-hydrazino-6H-1,3,4-thiadiazine hydrobromide. USE:A synthetic intermediate for photographic magenta coupler which is 6-tert- butyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,2-c]-1,2,4-triazole based coupler, expressed by formula II (R is alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group), and having higher light resistance. PREPARATION:Pinacolin expressed by formula III (=3,3-dimethyl-2-butanone) is brominated with Br2 in diethyl ether solvent to give 1-bromo-3,3-dimethyl-2- butanone expressed by formula IV, which is, together with a thiocarbohydrazide expressed by formula V, refluxed in ethyl alcohol solvent while heating to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
