发明名称 PRODUCTION OF EZO-UKOGI TEA
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain EZO-UKOGI (Epeutherococcus senticosus) tea having excellent taste, color and flavor, drinkable easily and convenient to carry, by leaching and extracting crushed EZO-UKOGI with hot water or hydrated alcohol, adding a sugar to the extract and concentrating and (freeze-) drying the mixture under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:The crushed EZO-UKOGI is immersed in water or a hydrated alcohol of about 50% concentration and extracted at 50-90 deg.C for 1-5hr. The leached mixture is allowed to cool to about 50 deg.C and filtered with a sieve of 30mesh. The filtrate is centrifuged or filtered under reduced pressure using a filter aid, and the resultant clear liquid is concentrated under reduced pressure at <=50 deg.C until the volume of the liquid is decreased to about 1/10 of the original volume. A sugar such as lactose and glucose, etc., is added to the concentrated liquid and dissolved under agitation and the solution is concentrated, dried or freeze-dried at <=50 deg.C under reduced pressure.
