Provided is a projector capable of efficiently cooling subjects to be cooled. This projector has: a first circulation flow channel (5), which is formed in a sealed space, and in which a first fluid is circulated, said first fluid cooling subjects to be cooled (a polarization conversion element and an electrooptic device) that are disposed in the sealed space; a second circulation flow channel (6) in which a second fluid to which heat of the first fluid is to be transferred, is circulated; and a third circulation flow channel (7), in which a third fluid to which heat is to be transferred from the second fluid is circulated, and from which heat transferred to the third fluid in a process of circulating the third fluid is dissipated. The first fluid is in gas state, and the second fluid and the third fluid are in liquid state. |
