PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of operation accompanying command input by symbolizing commands, and thus inputting the command exactly and shortening an input time. CONSTITUTION:When symbolic data (a) is inputted on a keyboard (a) in command symbol input mode, a control program stored in a storage device 2 selects the command corresponding to the input symbolic data (a) and displays the command display data (b) on a display device 4. Namely, when the symbolic data (a) is inputted on the keyboard 3, the control program selects the corresponding command in a table of commands starting with the input data. When there are plural commands with the same first letter, the 2nd and succeeding characters are symbols corresponding to the commands. Consequently, commands are inputted accurately and the input time is shortened, and the quantity of operation accompanying the command input is reduced.
