CONSTITUTION:A rolled article (m) is sent into a cold shear 4 by rollers 6. The cut part of the article (m) is heated by a heating device 7, and the temperature of the heated cut part is measured by a temperature detector 8. The optimum temperature determined according to the quality of the article and the output of the detector 8 are input into a calculator Com. The heating device 7 is controlled by the output of the calculator, and the article is cut to a prescribed dimension by a cutting tool 41 at the optimum cutting temperature.
