PURPOSE:To obtain a pasty moisture-absorptive material composition easy to handle, good in dispersibility, useful as foaming-proof agent and viscosity build-up inhibitor in polyurethane production, by incorporating a polyol compound with an inorganic moisture-absorptive material followed by kneading to make a paste. CONSTITUTION:The objective pasty composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyol compound, pref. a liquid diene polymer with a number-average molecular weight 300-25,000 (pref. 500-10,000) having in the molecule or at the molecular end at least two hydroxyl groups with (B) 1-1,000(pref. 5-500)pts.wt. of inorganic moisture-absorptive material with a particle size pref. 0.01-1,000mu (e.g. zeolite, anhydrous gypsum or gypsum hemihydrate, silica gel, calcium oxide, calcium chloride) followed by kneading at 0-150 deg.C for 1-120min using a kneader such as a three-roll mill. In polyurethane production, 0.1-300pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of raw material polyol compound, of this composition is used.
