PURPOSE:To obtain the titled agent containing a bactericidal phenolic compound useful as an antidiarrheic or a drug for controlling intestinal function and having improved smell and paralyzing feeling of the compound, by mixing the phenolic compound with a specific amount of cyclodextrin in the drug-preparation process in the presence of water or hydrated ethanol. CONSTITUTION:A phenolic intestinal bactericidal agent preparation almost free from taste and odor and giving no paralyzing feeling to the oral mucosa can be produced with simple production means at a low cost, by mixing 1pt.wt. of a bactericidal phenolic compound such as guaiacol, creosote, phenyl salicylate, etc., with 5-30pts.wt., usually about 10-15pts. of a cyclodextrin, especially beta-type cyclodextrin in the drug-preparation process in the presence of water or hydrated ethanol.
