PURPOSE:To simplify the control by providing a line memory for picture signal buffer so as to apply acceleration/deceleration control of the sub scanning speed. CONSTITUTION:In the recording system device, a storage quantity counter 10 counting the line memory storage quantity of a recording picture signal 12 stored in the picture signal buffer line memory 2 outputs a line memory storage information signal 15 to a recording sub scanning speed deciding circuit 11. On the other hand, a reference value M is set in advance in the deciding circuit 11. The reference value M and a signal 15N are compared and discriminated by the circuit 11. When N>M, the circuit 11 outputs a sub scanning speed setting signal 14 to accelerate the sub scanning speed to a sub scanning speed control circuit section 5 and when N<M, the circuit 11 outputs the signal 14 to decelerate to the circuit 5. In receiving the acceleration setting signal 14, the circuit section 5 outputs its sub scanning pulse signal 13 to a recording circuit section 9 and in receiving the deceleration setting signal 14, the circuit section 5 outputs its sub scanning pulse signal 13 to the section 9 respectively. Then the acceleration/deceleration control to the sub scanning speed is applied.
