PURPOSE:To eliminate an exposure of a cable wire to the outside, and to reduce cost by providing additionally a one-way clutch in a rotation transfer system of an original automatic feed and discharge device, and also, driving a feed and discharge paper roller system of the device by utilizing a reciprocating driving means of an original platen. CONSTITUTION:A separating roller gear 6A is provided through a one-way clutch 32 on a separating roller shaft 6a, this gear 6A is engaged to a gear 28, and this gear 28 is engaged to a feed paper roller gear 5A which has been provided through a one-way clutch 33 on a fed paper roller shaft 5a. When the one sheet of the uppermost position among originals O2 is fed until the tip side of the original is pressed against a position of an exposure part E on an original platen 4 through a part of the first feed roller 8, and stopped, the first feed roller 8 and the second feed roller 9 are in a stopped state by an action of a one-way clutch 34. A driving gear 21 executes a prescribed rotation counterclockwise, and thereafter, stops, and rotates clockwise. The first and the second feed rollers 8, 9 rotate counterclockwise, and start to feed th original which has existed in the part of the first feed roller 8.
