PURPOSE:To stabilize ignition at a nozzle by providing a recessed channel in part of the passage of combustion gas at the tip of a nozzle body. CONSTITUTION:An arc, discharged between the internal periphery at the tip of an inner pipe 17 and the non-coated part 24 on the external periphery at the tip of a center pipe 18, induces a momentary explosion when combustion gas injected from the tip of an outer pipe 16 and an inner pipe 17 is ignited. By the explosion, back fire is produced, that is, the flames burst into slits 21, 21,... which are provided on the wall of a passage of combustion gas. The flames ignite combustion gas stagnating in a recessed channel 20. The gas ignited in the recessed channel 20 becomes a fire ball, which promotes ignition to combustion gas passing through a nozzle tip successively. By forming a fire ball, flames will not be blown away, and stabilized ignition can be assured at the burner tip.
