PURPOSE:To change the number of times of retransmission at a fault of transmission in response to the importance of a sent data and a traffic of the transmission line by providing a number of times of retransmission setting means setting optionally the number of times of retransmission if data transmission is failed. CONSTITUTION:A transmission/reception module 3 controls a transmission/ reception equipment 2 and is provided with a transmission control means 4 taking over a sending data to the equipment 2 to allow the equipment to make transmission and a transmission fault detection means 5 detecting that the sent data collide with each other or the sent data is not correctly received by a transmission/reception equipment of sending destination and the reply is not sent, and further with a number of times of retransmission setting means 6 and a retransmission means making retransmission till the number of times of retransmission set optionally before the start of transmission by the means 6. A transmission/reception module 3 uses a power line carrier module 9 as an exclusive use of communication control and of two module constitution feeding the internal processing function except communication to a host module 10.
