PURPOSE:To prevent the trial of an illegal access from being repeated by inhibiting the connection at the time of a pass word from a remote station is not correct and inhibiting the reply to succeeding calls if the call is repeated for a prescribed number of times. CONSTITUTION:A reply code transmission/reception and collation section surrounded in one-dashed chain lines is provided to a MODEMs 20, 60 of a center station and a remote station. At the time of the user calls the center station from the remote station and inputs a password, the remote station calls the center station. The center station makes a reply code identifying a number of the remote station send. If the user password is not correct regardless that the reply code from the remote station is registered in a memory 22 of the center station, a control section 21 does not make line connection as an illegal call and if the illegal call is repeated for a prescribed number of times, the reply to the succeeding call from the remote station is inhibited.
