The invention in question relates to a process for producing a press plate for flat presses, which press plate can be heated by means of a liquid medium, in the production of particle boards, fibre boards or laminate boards and the like, numerous parallel heating ducts being bored in one direction in the steel plate, which heating ducts, according to a given flow pattern for the liquid medium, are connected to collecting and/or by-pass ducts running in the transverse direction of the heating ducts. By-pass mouldings are inserted in the by-pass ducts and plugs are inserted on the end side in the heating ducts. First the by-pass and the collecting ducts are bored. In these by-pass and collecting ducts, cores are inserted with given fitting. After this, the heating ducts are bored and the cores inserted in the by-pass or collecting ducts are bored through. Next the bored- through cores are extracted and the cores inserted in the by-pass ducts are provided outside the steel plate with by-pass configurations and possibly with plugs. Finally, these cores provided with by-pass configurations and possibly with plugs are reinserted in the by-pass ducts in question. The invention also relates to press plates equipped according to this process. <IMAGE> |
