PURPOSE:To shorten the waiting time of a central controller for an access request to a shared bus by duplicating a system with confounding of the shared bus and then securing the confounding between data transfer devices. CONSTITUTION:In one of two systems a central controller CC 1, a main memory MM 3 and a data channel device DCH 5 are connected with each other via a common bus 17. Then a data transfer device 7 is connected between the DCH 5 and a file memory FM 15 and the device 7 contains a microprocessor MPU 9, a memory ROM 11 incorporated in firmware, and buffer memory RAM 13. In the other system a CC 2, an MM 4 and a DCH 6 are connected with each other via a common bus 18. Then a data transfer device 8 is connected between the DCH 6 and an FM 16 and consists of an MPU 10, a ROM 12 and a RAM 14. Furthermore both buses 17 and 18 are connected with each other by common bus confounding 100. While both devices 7 and 8 are connected with each other by data transfer device confounding 101 respectively.
