PURPOSE:To inhibit the formation of coarse spangles and to improve the smoothness by hot dip galvanizing a steel sheet and spraying alcohol mist on the resulting molten Zn layer before solidification. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet is hot dip galvanized and the amount of molten Zn stuck is regulated. Alcohol mist is then sprayed on the surface of the resulting molten Zn layer from a spray nozzle immediately before solidification. The sprayed alcohol mist acts as spangle forming nuclei and makes formed spangles fine. Thus, the formation of coarse spangles is inhibited.
