PURPOSE:To obtain the titled hologram recording material which is made of moisture resistant plastics and is capable of forming the hologram with interfer ence exposure by incorporating a polymer contg. a carbazole ring, jodoform and phenylnaphthacene. CONSTITUTION:In the titled material, poly-N-vinyl carbazole (PVCz) is reacted by absorbing a ray such as an argon ion laser to a coloring matter having a light absorbing band at a visible range, without absorbing a ray to a halogen contg. compd., thereby transferring energy to the halogen contg. compd. The representative example of the useful polymer contg. the carbazole ring is exem plified by PVCz shown by formula I, a halogen derivatives of PVCz contg. carbazole ring and a compd. having an ester binding of between a main chain shown by formula III and the carbazole ring. The representative example of phenylnaphthacene is exemplified by 5,6,11,12-tetraphenyl naphthacene and bis (phenyl ethynyl) naphthacene.
