PURPOSE:To make the construction of water stopper easier as well as ensure water-stopping function of it by using a water stopper consisting of a water- impermeable wide-width banded part and a chemical grout-injecting pipe attached along one end of the banded part and having a chemical grout injection hole. CONSTITUTION:A water stopper 3 consists of a water-impermeable banded part 3a, e.g., drain material, water-proof sheet, etc., having a water-impermeable sheet on its central part and a chemical grout injecting pipe 36 with holes 3b' which is attached along one end of the part 3a. The pipes 3b are driven in order adjacently to the other ends of the adjacent water stopper 3, and a water-stopping agent, e.g., cement paste, etc., is injected into the pipes 3b and then into the ground through holes 3b'. The aperture between the adjacent water stoppers 3 is sealed up to form a cut-off wall. The water-stopping operations can thus be made easier, and the water-stopping function can be ensured.
