PURPOSE:To increase discharge pressure by providing a cylindrical jacket opening and an annular air introduction port at a suction port and providing an air introduction pipe equipped with an adjusting valve near the summit of the cylindrical jacket. CONSTITUTION:The cross section of a suction port 1 is made annular and at its center is provided a working fluid inlet 2 through a supporting member 9. A cylindrical jacket 6 is provided at the periphery of a suction tube 3 on the suction side. An air introduction pipe 7 leading to the air is provided near the summit of the cylindrical jacket 6 and an adjusting valve 8 is connected to its tip. Accordingly, the abrasion resistance of the suction fluid is decreased by adjusting the outside air quantity to be introduced and the discharge pressure can be increased.
